Le Châtelet place sa rentrée sous le signe de La Flûte enchantée. Mais comme à son habitude, Jean-Luc Choplin, le directeur de la célèbre institution parisienne, a voulu sortir des sentiers battus. Il a choisi de mettre à l’affiche deux versions opposées du même opéra. La première, très classique, est mise en scène par Jean-Paul Scarpitta. Nous l’avions vue, il y a quelques mois, à l’Opéra de Montpellier. On avoue ne pas avoir été emballé par cette lecture au premier degré de l’opéra mozartien. Les récits étaient remplacés par des dialogues de Clémence Boulouque, frôlant souvent le ridicule. Pour la reprise du spectacle au Châtelet, on se réjouit par contre d’entendre la divine Sandrine Piau en Pamina (surtout dans l’air « Ach, ich fühl’s »). La seconde production, de l’Isango Portobello Company, s’annonce bien plus excitante (et moins chère !). Elle nous vient d’Afrique du Sud et revisite La Flûte enchantée avec marimbas, percussions et choeurs africains. On dit que Simon Rattle, le célèbre chef du Philharmonique de Berlin, en serait fan…
