Théâtre du Girasole / texte et adaptation d’Eudes Labrusse / mise en scène de Jérôme Imard et Eudes Labrusse / dès 9 ans
En autant de tableaux qu’il y a de chants dans L’Iliade, Jérôme Imard et Eudes Labrusse orchestrent un récit choral qui revisite les moments les plus frappants de cette fresque monumentale. De la naissance divine de la belle Hélène à la colère d’Achille, de la pomme d’or qui met le feu aux poudres au cheval de bois qui met les Hellènes dans Ilion, sept comédiens et un pianiste mènent le récit tambour battant « avec l’insolence d’une dynamique de troupe, d’un rythme emballé, d’un humour décalé, mais sans en effacer pour autant la poésie épique et tragique ». Au-delà de la seule Iliade, qui ne raconte que trois mois du siège de la fière cité narguant les Grecs, le spectacle retrace les très nombreux récits liés à la Guerre de Troie, de ses lointaines prémices à son dénouement, en adaptant les grands auteurs antiques qui l’ont évoquée. Le défi, disent Jérôme Imard et Eudes Labrusse, « consiste aussi à en revenir à ces histoires d’autrefois pour parler d’aujourd’hui ». Confronter le monde actuel aux mythes antiques permet de « démonter les mécanismes qui y sont encore à l’œuvre, de mettre en question les mythologies modernes, de les démystifier, et en même temps de se référer par le théâtre à un épique encore possible ».
