A partir d’un travail d’improvisation, de performance et d’écriture scénique autour de la question du masculin et de la geste virile, Nadège Prugnard a écrit pour chaque acteur de ce spectacle un « corps-texte » sur mesure, fondé sur l’univers poétique de chacun. Une écriture coup de poing déclenchée par la mort de Jeannine qui libère les cris, les angoisses et les révoltes masculines. « Du verbe urgent et critique, rafales verbales, bagarres rythmiques, souffles croisés, solitudes pulsées, tohu-bohu convulsif et jouissif porté par une meute d’hommes » qui tentent ensemble de dire « l’impossible poème des malheurs ». Neuf cubes dessinent un cercle autour du public. Dressés sur ces cercles, neuf hommes haranguent les spectateurs en mots et en musique : « Dix bites pour un vagin, nous les hommes, on est debout et on parle ». Le corps des comédiens parle, chante, cogne, éructe, convoque sa propre mort, provoque, questionne et gueule « ce que l’on porte en soi qui tout à coup éclate comme une grenade qui se répand ». Un chœur d’hommes aux visages et aux postures différentes interprète l’harmonie des écarts, des dissensions, des incompréhensions, des conflits et des blessures. Sans freins ni tabous, en empruntant au sang, au sperme et à la sueur leurs humeurs créatrices, Nadège Prugnard compose un spectacle hors normes, « mélange entre tragédie antique et rock des plus délurés ».
