Théâtre de la Commune / conception et mes Monika Gintersdorfer et Knut Klassen
On les a découverts en 2013, au Festival d’Avignon. Monika Gintersdorfer et Knut Klassen y jouaient trois pièces, parmi lesquelles La Jet Set, que le Théâtre de la Commune donne l’opportunité de redécouvrir. Leur démarche singulière en vaut la peine. Comme tous les spectacles créés par le duo allemand depuis huit ans, La Jet Set est le fruit d’une rencontre improbable : celle de la metteuse en scène allemande avec la vie nocturne ivoirienne. Avec notamment Franck Edmond Yao alias Gadoukou la Star, danseur et chorégraphe qui participe à toutes ses créations. Il partage cette fois la scène avec le danseur Gotta Depri, Jean-Claude Dagbo alias DJ Meko et le comédien allemand Hauke Heumann, dans le cadre d’un rituel décalé. Coupé-décalé plus exactement, car c’est de ce style de musique, de danse et de culture né en 2003 dans le milieu de la diaspora ivoirienne qu’il est question ici. Avec humour, et non sans esprit de subversion.
