Créé en 2006, La jeune fille aux mains d’argent ne se résume pas à un banal spectacle à destination du jeune public. Le compositeur marseillais Raoul Lay a écrit une musique tendre mais jamais mièvre sur un livret à l’inspiration faustienne d’Olivier Py. On y rencontre un père, sa fille et… le diable. La mise en scène de Catherine Marnas fait appel à un acteur (Franck Manzoni) et à une grande panoplie de marionnettes. Le résultat est féerique et peut séduire les plus petits comme les aficionados, plus âgés, de musique contemporaine. Dirigé par le compositeur, l’Ensemble Télémaque, en provenance directe de la Canebière, sera associé à des choristes amateurs de Nanterre. Après ça, qui dira que la musique contemporaine reste réservée à une élite ?
