Créations 2017 / Opéra de Massy / Chor. Julien Lestel
Brillant danseur passé par les Ballets de Monte Carlo, le Ballet National de l’Opéra de Paris et le Ballet National de Marseille, où il devient le partenaire de Marie-Claude Pietragalla dans le répertoire classique, Julien Lestel chorégraphie pour sa propre compagnie depuis une dizaine d’années. Auteur prolixe qui compte déjà quinze pièces à son actif, il développe une écriture sensuelle privilégiant l’esthétique néoclassique, la fluidité du geste et la recherche de l’émotion. Basée à Marseille, sa compagnie revient à l’Opéra de Massy, où il enchaîne de longues résidences depuis 2013, avec une soirée composée de deux créations : Quartet et La Jeune Fille et la Mort. À la musique minimaliste de Philip Glass répondra le romantisme de Franz Schubert, déjà mis en danse par Thomas Lebrun ou Stephan Thoss. Les deux opus seront accompagnés en live par un quatuor à cordes.
