Théâtre de la Tempête / de Maurice Maeterlinck / mes Géraldine Martineau
« Il y a en l’homme des régions plus profondes et plus intéressantes que la raison et l’intelligence. », rappelle Géraldine Martineau, citant Maeterlinck. La metteure en scène suit l’invitation du poète à naviguer sur la mer intérieure de l’âme « où sévissent les étranges tempêtes de l’inarticulé et de l’inexprimable ». Au milieu de cette mer, l’île, et, sur l’île, le château dans lequel la méchante reine fait revenir Tintagiles. Ygraine et Bellangère, ses sœurs, et le fidèle Aglovale, l’y accueillent avec joie, mais tous pressentent que la mort menace le jeune homme, et que seul l’amour permettra de résister à la malveillance de ceux qui veulent arracher Tintagiles à la beauté des choses. Géraldine Martineau choisit la musique comme compagne de la poésie du texte, afin de servir aux mieux les inflexions subtiles et délicates de la pièce.
