On avait déjà vu le Festival Jazz’n’klezmer faire escale rue Copernic, dans la première synagogue libérale française, créée en 1907. La deuxième édition de cette “Nuit du Jazz“ vient confirmer la vocation musicale de ce lieu chargé d’histoire, à la décoration intérieure de style art déco… Le luxueux programme musical de cette soirée se déroulera en trois temps. D’abord celui de la découverte du jeune pianiste et compositeur franco-israélien Jeremy Hababou, remarqué comme finaliste du Concours International de Jazz de Montreux en 2014. Ce musicien de 25 ans, applaudi récemment au Sunset avec ce trio composé de Yoni Zelnik à la contrebasse et Fred Pasqua à la batterie, prépare la sortie de son premier album intitulé « Run Away ». Le deuxième temps de cette soirée sera celui de la rencontre, celle de Yaron Herman et David El-Malek, confrontation inédite entre le pianiste natif de Tel Aviv, star du jazz jouant sous l’étiquette Blue Note, et le grand saxophoniste ténor, échappé un temps de son projet Music from Source, qui explore les musiques folkloriques et liturgiques judeo-arabo-espagnoles. Enfin la soirée se conclura avec le groupe du célèbre contrebassiste Omer Avital, étoile et pionnier de l’incroyable nouvelle scène du jazz israélien, dont l’énergie, la diversité et la créativité rayonnent à l’international.
