Pierre et Véra Chidyvar font savourer leurs chansons russes et bohémiennes, ils sont aussi les interprètes de La Romance russe, un concert avec balalaïka, violon et accordéon. Quant au spectacle des Quatre Saisons, il s’inspire du calendrier slave et des fêtes populaires traditionnelles qui font revivre les tsars, les bouffons, les contes de fées et les artistes nomades. Les fêtes de Koliada pour le Tableau de l’hiver, associant paganisme et rite de Noël, suscitent chansons, danses et jeux avec l’ours. Pour le Tableau du printemps, la renaissance de la nature s’incarne à travers les jeunes filles et les cosaques qui chantent leur amour. Le Tableau de l’été représente la fécondité de la femme et de la terre avec le feu de la Saint-jean (Ivana Koupala). L’automne fête la fin des récoltes en compagnie des bouffons, un hommage à la terre nourricière, au soleil et à l’eau. En 1990, date de l’Indépendance de l’Ukraine, le Théâtre de Kherson reçoit le nom du célèbre dramaturge ukrainien Nicolas Koulich. Ce théâtre a créé un festival avec les meilleurs théâtres de Russie, d’Ukraine, de Biélorussie, de Moldavie, de Pologne. Une Nuit slave à ne pas manquer.
