BACH / PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS
Après avoir donné l’année dernière la Passion selon Saint Jean à la Philharmonie, René Jacobs y revient pour le vendredi saint 2017 avec la Passion Saint Matthieu. C’est peu dire qu’il est maître dans ce répertoire, qu’il fréquente depuis son plus jeune âge. Il a récemment gravé une Saint Matthieu de référence chez Harmonia Mundi en 2013. Si la distribution de la Philharmonie diffère légèrement de celle du disque, elle n’en est pas moins prometteuse d’un moment de grande intensité musicale. Dans le rôle de l’évangéliste, on entendra le ténor Julian Prégardien et dans celui du Christ, la basse Johannnes Weisser, avec également la soprane Sunhae Im et l’alto Benno Schachtner. Ils seront accompagnés par les émérites RIAS Kammerchor et Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
