Sa mère a joui et péché : Suzanne doit expier ! Fille illégitime de parents qui pensent gagner les faveurs du ciel en lui offrant leur enfant en sacrifice, la jeune fille est enfermée chez les clarisses de Longchamp. Aimée par la supérieure de Moni mais détestée par sa remplaçante, harcelée par ses compagnes de captivité, elle tente de s’évader pour échapper aux vœux qu’on lui impose. Noémie Bianco et Gaële Boghossian incarne la dualité de Suzanne Simonin, « à la fois interprète et observatrice, accusée et avocate », qui affirme son droit à vivre hors de la cage dans laquelle la société l’enferme.
Tissage de la réalité et du fantasme
Ode à la liberté et à la tolérance, hymne d’espoir et de liberté, le texte de Diderot tend un miroir au public de notre temps. « A travers ce plaidoyer humaniste, le collectif 8 propose une vision d’actualité sur l’endoctrinement, le maintien dans l’ignorance, l’objectivation de l’individu et sa dissolution dans la communauté. » La réalité et le fantasme se mêlent « dans un vertigineux tissage visuel et musical et nous immergent dans un monde d’hallucinations, de symboles et d’obsessions, guidant l’imaginaire aux confins de notre perception ».
