La révérence désigne la manœuvre effectuée par les paquebots de croisière au large des côtes : un impressionnant spectacle devenu cauchemar pour le Costa Concordia le 13 janvier 2012, qui s’est échoué après avoir heurté un récif à proximité de l’île du Giglio au large de la Toscane. Bilan : 32 morts, 4199 personnes évacuées, un commandant accusé d’avoir abandonné le navire… Que nous raconte cette tragédie aujourd’hui ? Hala Ghosn et le collectif La Poursuite ont enquêté sur l’immense retentissement médiatique qu’elle a provoqué, sur ses implications politiques et judiciaires, afin de restituer l’événement dans sa complexité et sa symbolique, d’interroger aussi la notion de responsabilité individuelle et collective. Accompagnés par le dramaturge Roland Chéneau, Hala Ghosn et le quintet de comédiens Lina-Hélène Bosch, Gautier Boxebeld, Darko Japelj, Kimiko Kitamura et Jean-François Sirérol ont ensemble façonné une écriture de plateau vive et rythmée, fondée sur un très riche matériau documentaire. Au cœur d’une scénographie épurée et modulable, les compositions visuelles et sonores font partie intégrante d’une partition qui se veut subtilement décalée, énergique et percutante.
