MUSIQUE MEDIEVALE / AUDITORIUM DU LOUVRE
Alors que s’édifient les premières grandes cathédrales gothiques, dont celle de Notre-Dame à Paris, le paysage musical se transforme également, avec le développement de la polyphonie à partir des modes rythmiques et mélodiques du chant grégorien. Creuset de cette évolution qui a enrichi les offices religieux, l’Île-de-France a vu se constituer un important corpus de manuscrits qui ont été ensuite copiés dans l’Europe entière, contribuant ainsi à la diffusion de ces innovations. Avec son ensemble de jeunes chanteurs de la Schola de la Sainte-Chapelle qu’elle a fondée en 2023, la spécialiste de la musique médiévale Brigitte Lesne présente un condensé des différentes formes de compostions pratiquées par les chantres de ce qu’on a appelé l’école de Notre-Dame – conduit, organum, motet et rondeau –, laquelle constitue l’un des visages du rayonnement artistique et intellectuel de la capitale du royaume de France au XIIIème siècle.
