Après Ulysse de Rebel la saison dernière, la Simphonie du Marais revient à la Cité de la musique pour un autre programme de musique baroque française. Le flûtiste et chef d’orchestre Hugo Reyne a eu l’intelligence de mettre en perspective Les Elémens écrits par André Cardinal Destouches avec ceux composés par Jean-Féry Rebel. En illustrant musicalement la Genèse, ces compositeurs ont fait preuve d’une audace à la fois formelle et harmonique. Affirmons-le : ces pièces sont follement avant-gardistes ! Tout comme les extraits de Naïs et de Zaïs, deux pastorales héroïques écrites par Rameau, où les gavottes insouciantes et les tambourins frénétiques se mêlent à des airs interprétés par le baryton Bertrand Chuberre. Fidèle à lui-même, Rameau révolutionne dans ces deux œuvres le discours musical, à la fois par l’invention instrumentale et par l’audace rythmique.
