Théâtre des Halles / conception et mes Gaëtan Vassart
Les faits divers alimentent largement le cinéma, un peu moins le théâtre, même si la figure de Roberto Zucco plane sur bon nombre de plateaux. Gaëtan Vassart, que Bernard Sobel a aidé sur ce projet à la mise en scène, a été, lui, frappé par l’histoire de Toni Musulin, ce bandit d’un jour dont l’histoire singulière a enflammé la France il y a quelques années. Avec un salaire de 1700 euros par mois, c’est 539 années de travail à temps plein que Toni Musulin a sous les yeux, dans son fourgon. En un instant, le convoyeur devient bandit et entame une folle cavale.
Un acte littéralement extraordinaire
Gaëtan Vassart décide d’imaginer le récit de ce rêve fou de Toni Musulin et l’interprète à partir de la cour de la prison où il est enfermé. Un monologue aux registres changeants, parfois quotidien, parfois poétique, toujours à hauteur d’homme, sous la figure d’Icare qui se brûle les ailes. Un récit pour donner du sens et de l’humanité à un acte littéralement extraordinaire. Ce texte a donné lieu à une résidence à la Chartreuse.
