« Tentative de défroissage du mythe »… C’est avec ce sous-titre que Les Anges au plafond cernent la figure d’Antigone, symbole rebelle de liberté face au pouvoir de la raison d’Etat. « Les mythes fascinent parce qu’ils traversent le temps, gardent une part d’insondable, d’irréductible mystère qui échappe d’autant qu’on s’en approche, explique Camille Trouvé, cofondatrice de la compagnie avec le comédien Brice Berthoud. La marionnette permet d’aborder la dimension mythique car elle évite l’incarnation réaliste. Elle agit par l’image, le symbole, la transposition plastique et laisse place à l’imaginaire. ». Faisant écho à Une Antigone de papier, créée en 2007, Œdipe sur le fil part sur les traces d’un héros en quête d’identité, homme aux prises avec la machine infernale du destin. Fragiles créatures de papier manipulées à vue, les marionnettes donnent ici vie à ces tragédies politiques et filiales, métaphores de l’humaine condition.
