Dans la grande galaxie des one-man shows, La Tragédie du dossard 512 a bien su se démarquer. Sans mauvais jeu de mots. Créé en 2014 par le comédien Yohann Métay, passé par l’improvisation théâtrale et les arts du cirque, ce spectacle est le récit décalé et sensible d’une expérience sportive extrême qu’il a lui-même vécue : celle de l’Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB). Soit 170 kilomètres à parcourir en un temps limité, autour du point culminant de la chaîne des Alpes. Un défi « pour l’orgueil, pour trouver un sens au temps qui passe, pour devenir quelqu’un… ? ». Loin d’un simple éloge du dépassement de soi, Yohann Métay s’interroge. Volontiers burlesque, il examine en lui « l’humanité qui court après elle-même », « cette quête absurde de sens qui pousse les hommes à se lancer sans cesse des défis ».
