Le Parvis d’Avignon / texte et mes Valérie Castel Jordy
« Etre à l’Ouest », « retrouver le Sud », « perdre le Nord », « cap à l’Est » : les points cardinaux nomment les quatre parties de la rencontre entre Azhar, réfugié politique venu d’Orient, et Philippe et Betty, qui l’accueillent chez eux pendant un mois. Autour d’eux, gravitent d’autres personnages qui permettent à Valérie Castel Jordy de compléter la typologie complexe des rapports que l’on entretient avec l’étranger, surtout quand il est celui qui vient frapper à notre porte pour demander ce qui relève d’une évidence pourtant souvent contestée : l’asile et la protection offerte à celui qui la demande. Sans moralisme ni dogmatisme, mais en usant de l’humour et du suspense, le spectacle permet à tout un chacun de se reconnaître ou de se découvrir parmi ceux qui peuplent le plateau de cette rencontre de l’autre en forme de quête de soi.
