Voici la première création du collectif Nightshot, né du dispositif du jeune théâtre en région Centre (JTRC) porté notamment par le CDN de Tours. « Une Iliade dont les dieux seraient les pizzas et les hélicoptères » comme la qualifie Emmanuel Adely, auteur du roman à l’origine de ce spectacle, La très bouleversante confession de l’homme qui a abattu le plus grand fils de pute que la terre ait jamais porté. Le titre donne le ton : bienvenue dans un monde où le film d’action hollywoodien se mêle au récit avéré de la traque et de l’élimination de Ben Laden. Le dispositif du collectif Nightshot se joue de cet écart entre réalité et fiction, de ce mélange entre la légende en mode entertainment américain et la réalité plus misérable d’un soldat. Un spectacle porté par sept acteurs et actrices qui dissèquent la fabrique d’une épopée moderne et de la toute-puissance américaine dans nos imaginaires.
