Le Cabaret Sauvage est un écrin tout trouvé pour accueillir cette pièce de 2007, qui cache, sous les ors envahissants et les velours rouges du lieu, un véritable univers porté par des artistes d’exception. Quatre des interprètes de La Vie sont d’ailleurs issus du « canal historique » du collectif Les 7 doigts de la main, fondé en 2002 au Québec, et qui est devenu, au fil du temps, une véritable machine de guerre du cirque contemporain. Pourtant, La Vie a gardé un je-ne-sais-quoi d’intime, loin de l’idée toute faite de rouleau compresseur du spectacle qu’on pourrait leur accoler. Entrer dans La Vie, c’est avant tout pénétrer dans un purgatoire d’un nouveau genre, guidé par un Charon grinçant. D’allure extrêmement soignée, il est le maître de cérémonie d’un spectacle où le public est bien malgré lui associé, convié même à une descente aux enfers en compagnie de ces personnages aux portes du royaume des morts. Bernadette, tantôt assistante médicale, tantôt hôtesse de l’air, l’accompagne dans sa présentation de chacun des dossiers : du lourd, quand il s’agit de traiter le cas de Patrick Léonard, tombé du ciel, ou de ce PDG de l’aéronautique mort dans un accident d’avion qu’il a lui-même provoqué. De vraies figures, donc, de vraies tranches de vies, qui s’étalent sous nos yeux sous l’ironie perverse de Monsieur Loyal.
Un cabaret sans complexe
Ces tranches de vies provoquent la présentation de numéros d’acrobatie, de jonglage, de contorsion, de trapèze, de chaînes aériennes… la liste est longue des possibilités techniques que chacun met en œuvre, auxquelles on peut rajouter la danse (tango, flamenco…), la comédie… La prouesse technique va loin, mais raconte toujours une histoire : la contorsion s’exhibe dans l’enfermement d’une camisole de force, le diabolo dans un affrontement d’homme à homme, le main à main dans des portés où l’étreinte joue un amour qui s’effiloche. Ce voyage vers la mort est précisément plein de vie, brûle les derniers instants de ses protagonistes dans une folle envie d’aller toujours plus loin et plus fort. Au centre de leur distraction, le sexe et la sensualité mettent définitivement le feu : Sébastien Soldevila, excellent jongleur, acrobate, danseur et animateur du public, joue sur le fil entre fines allusions et franches déconnades. Pour venir en famille, essayez plutôt Psy, deuxième pièce des 7 doigts de la main, programmée dans la Grande halle de La Villette.
