On a longtemps associé exclusivement Stéphanie d’Oustrac à la musique baroque. Mais depuis quelques saisons, la mezzo-soprano se lance avec succès dans d’autres répertoires, depuis Carmen (un triomphe à l’Opéra de Lille !) jusqu’à La Voix humaine de Poulenc présentée ce mois-ci au Théâtre de l’Athénée. Basée sur un texte de Jean Cocteau, cette tragédie lyrique a pour unique personnage une femme conversant au téléphone avec son amant. C’est Vincent Vittoz, que l’on connaît également comme chanteur (notamment à la Péniche-Opéra), qui signe la mise en scène de cet ouvrage auquel il rajoute deux autres pièces de Cocteau : La Dame de Monte-Carlo, un monologue lyrique également mis en musique par Poulenc, et le monologue Lis ton journal. La partie de piano est assurée par Pascal Jourdan.
