Théâtre Le Verbe Fou / de Jean Cocteau / mes Caroline Rainette
Lorsque Jean Cocteau crée L’Aigle à deux têtes, en 1946, c’est à Edwige Feuillère et Jean Marais qu’il demande d’incarner le couple central de sa pièce. Dans la mise en scène que présente Caroline Rainette, c’est elle-même qui s’empare du rôle de la reine, et Sébastien Poulain de celui de l’anarchiste Stanislas (les autres personnages sont interprétés par Bruno Aumand, Paul Faroudja, Saâdia Courtillat et Daniel Schröpfer). « Avec L’Aigle à deux têtes, explique la metteure en scène, Cocteau renouvèle le drame romantique : les thèmes de l’amour et de la mort y sont puissamment et habilement orchestrés, à travers un langage ample, emporté, exalté, fiévreux… » En fondant, en 2012, la compagnie Etincelle, Caroline Rainette et Sébastien Poulain se sont donné pour objectif de « toucher le plus grand nombre », de « montrer que les grands textes du théâtre sont toujours d’actualité ». C’est ce qu’ils s’attachent à faire, aujourd’hui, à travers le spectacle qu’ils présentent au Théâtre Le Verbe fou.
