C’est l’histoire d’un enfant sauvage abandonné par ses parents dans une solitude cernée d’écrans et de jeux vidéo. Dans « la douce chaleur du foyer familial, il occupe ses journées comme un adolescent prisonnier d’un éternel week-end », raconte Jean-Philippe Ibos, le conteur, auteur et metteur en scène de Lanterne Magique 2.0. Dans cette traversée des images qui entrelace fable contemporaine, contre-sens visuels et illusions d’optique, on joue à s’amuser comme à se faire peur. Rien n’est vraiment vrai, rien n’est toujours faux : petits et grands plongent dans un univers qui questionne notre rapport au réel et aux écrans.
De la science à la poésie
Les spectatrices et spectateurs sont accueillis par un montreur-bonimenteur au sein d’un espace de manipulation, de magie, de récit : entresort à la croisée de la science et de la poésie. Conçu par Jean-Philippe Ibos, mais aussi par le vidéaste Erwin Chamard, le plasticien Michel Herreria, le compositeur Tony Leite, le créateur son et lumière Damien Cruzalèbes, Lanterne Magique 2.0 va « à la source des images animées – Robertson, Pepper, Méliès… – pour mieux comprendre la mécanique des écrans ». Une façon malicieuse « de jouer avec l’incompréhensible et de toucher à une forme d’étrangeté surréaliste ».
