L’Arche de Noé
NOUVELLE PRODUCTION / SAINT QUENTIN EN YVELINES
Très rarement joué en France, ce petit opéra d’inspiration biblique, Noye’s Fludde, composé en 1957, possède toutes les ressources pour donner vie à un spectacle délectable : des personnages hauts en couleur (Noé en personne, son épouse, le corbeau, la colombe et tous les autres animaux vivant sur terre !), l’alternance de scènes burlesques et dramatiques, la rencontre sur scène d’interprètes de toutes générations, et même la participation du public ! Dans son talent immense et son art so British de partager la musique avec le plus large public, Benjamin Britten(1913-1976), géant de la musique anglaise du XXème siècle, n’a pas son pareil pour composer à destination du public familial sans rien sacrifier de son exigence artistique. Sofi Jeannin, directrice de la Maîtrise de Radio France, entourée de musiciens de l’Orchestre National de France, se met à son service avec la complicité de Véronique Samakh (mise en scène) et des chanteurs Benedict Nelson (Noé), Tamsin Dalley (la femme de Noé, la voix de Dieu), et de jeunes ou moins jeunes interprètes amateurs des Yvelines, dont l’Ensemble Vocal de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
