L’objectif de ce cycle de concerts est de défendre la musique de chambre française en se référant à deux événements cruciaux du XIXème siècle artistique en France : la « bataille d’Hernani » suscitée par l’indignation que provoqua la première du drame romantique Hernani de Victor Hugo en 1830, et la création 41 ans plus tard, sous l’impulsion de Camille Saint-Saëns, de la Société Nationale de Musique, pour répondre à l’hégémonie de la musique de chambre germanique… Cet engagement résolu voire militant pour la musique de chambre française est repris aujourd’hui à son compte par une poignée d’interprètes ayant aussi à cœur de revisiter ce riche patrimoine musical sur instruments historiques. Magali Léger (soprano), Alain Buet (baryton), Alexis Kossenko (flûte), Emmanuel Balssa (violoncelle) et Rémy Cardinale (piano) se partagent le plateau de ce nouveau rendez-vous en interprétant
des œuvres de
Debussy (Prélude à l‘après-midi d’un faune
Ravel (Histoires naturelles – Chansons Madécasses), Roussel (Miniatures) et Fauré (extraits de La bonne chanson). La même équipe de fantassins chambristes sera invitée le 10 avril dans un programme différent dans le cadre de la saison Prima La Musica à Vincennes., œuvre de «rupture » avec le Romantisme par excellence),
