Théâtre de Sénart / d’Eduardo de Filippo / mes Patrick Pineau
Un préfet, son secrétaire, un metteur en scène, un médecin, un curé, un pharmacien, une institutrice… Dans L’Art de la comédie, le monde du théâtre vient dérégler la vie morne et sans surprise d’un chef-lieu de préfecture de l’Italie des années 1960. Présenté au préfet le jour où ce dernier doit faire la connaissance des notables de la ville dans laquelle il vient d’être nommé, un chef de troupe sème le trouble dans l’esprit du haut fonctionnaire, brouillant la ligne entre réalité et imaginaire, vérité et imitation. « L’Art de la comédie est une histoire d’acteurs et de troupe, explique Patrick Pineau. Et au fond de tout ça, une question revient : qu’est-ce que c’est [que] raconter des histoires ? Pourquoi est-ce que cela nous passionne ? (…) Et si c’est important, au fond, pourquoi ? » Autant de questions que le metteur en scène tentera d’éclairer par le biais de cette réflexion sur les pouvoirs et les fonctions de l’art.
