Laurent Boukobza revient à Rungis après une première rencontre en forme de coup de foudre artistique avec Laurent Goossaert (homme-orchestre de la saison musicale du Théâtre de Rungis), lors d’un concert mémorable au sein du Sirba Octet en novembre 2010 avec l’Orchestre Lamoureux. Mais le pianiste français, ancien élève de Catherine Collard et Michel Berroff au CNSM, se présente aujourd’hui sous un tout autre visage, loin de tout swing et spleen klezmer : celui du grand héros romantique du clavier en consacrant l’intégralité de son programme à la musique démesurée et redoutable de virtuosité de Franz Liszt (Sonate en si mineur, Après une lecture de Dante, extraits des Années de pèlerinage, 2ème année : Italie, Mephisto-Valse n°1). Autour de ce récital, Laurent Boukobza sera aussi présent à Rungis pour des actions pédagogiques, en particulier en qualité de Président de la chaire d’études de piano de l’University of Central Florida d’Orlando en Floride.
