Attention événement. Quand l’un des plus excitants trublions du saxophone français s’embarque dans une création autour de son instrument fétiche, le résultat ne peut que faire des étincelles. Que ce soit avec le MegaOctet d’Andy Emler ou avec son propre orchestre (Tous Dehors), Laurent Dehors a toujours eu un très net penchant pour les projets hors normes. C’est de nouveau le cas avec ce “Concerto Grosso” où, aux côtés du batteur Antonin Leymarie et du pianiste follement free anglais Matthew Bourne, six saxophonistes se confronteront : d’un côté les solistes improvisateurs Laurent Dehors et Gérald Chevillon, de l’autre le brillant quatuor de musique classique Habanera. Soit un mélange d’univers qui n’ont pas pour habitude de se frotter les uns aux autres. « Le Concerto Grosso sera tel un volcan en activité : tantôt calme avec des sons bien distincts, tantôt furieux avec des sons qui fusionnent, retentissent et s’envolent. » annonce Laurent Dehors. On n’en doute pas une seule seconde.
