OPERA COMIQUE / THEATRE MUSICAL
Le corpus lyrique de Schubert reste relativement méconnu, et plus inégal par exemple que celui des lieder. Il n’en recèle pas moins des trésors que Raphaël Pichon, explorateur des répertoires délaissés et avide de nouvelles formes depuis Miranda autour de Shakespeare et Purcell en 2017, a voulu faire redécouvrir. C’est dans la même salle Favart que le chef français, à la tête de son ensemble Pygmalion, présente L’autre voyage, odyssée intime tissée des fragments d’opéra et des thèmes de prédilection du compositeur autrichien – l’errance, la solitude, le besoin de consolation. La metteure en scène Silvia Costia a conçu la trame dramaturgique comme le parcours initiatique d’un médecin légiste qui, confronté à la mort de son fils, passe de la dissection des corps à celle de ses sentiments. Dans ce cheminement glissant d’un quasi naturalisme vers l’introspection psychologique, Raphaël Pichon retrouve Stéphane Degout, avec lequel il avait enregistré Mein Traum, un album autour des lieder de Schubert en version orchestrale.
