« Mon point de départ se situe toujours dans la réalité, explique Marcus Lindeen. (…) Je lis les journaux, les magazines, des livres et je classe par thèmes les histoires qui m’interpellent, qui sortent du commun par leur singularité ». Pour sa nouvelle création, ce sont en effet trois récits étonnants dont l’artiste suédois s’empare pour « en fabuler les résonnances sensibles, politiques et poétiques ». Celui d’une cinéaste queer qui revisite, à travers des rituels mortuaires, l’œuvre de la photographe surréaliste Claude Cahun. Celui d’un libraire parisien, première personne à avoir reçu une greffe totale du visage. Celui d’une neuroanatomiste américaine célèbre qui, suite à un AVC, étudia « de l’intérieur » la perte de mémoire qu’engendra chez elle cet accident. Trois témoignages de vie qui dessinent des voyages en soi-même et mettent en perspective « la stabilité de nos identités ».
