Avec la démarche incertaine et pataude d’une métaphysicienne enfantine, Arletti entre sur scène. Rares sont les comédiens dont le premier pas, le premier geste ou le premier soupir constituent d’emblée la promesse d’un univers original. Catherine Germain est de ceux-là. « Devenir clown, c’est devenir poème », dit François Cervantes, qui signe ce spectacle avec son interprète : le poème-Arletti est une expérience rare et intense qu’il ne faut pas rater quand la programmation des théâtres en offre le bonheur. Fagotée dans deux imperméables improbables, traînant une sacoche lourde de toute l’histoire du monde, Arletti installe d’abord les conditions matérielles de son exposé. Cahiers, rouleau de scotch, cigarette et carafe d’eau sont autant d’occasions cocasses pour camper des situations qui dégénèrent. Les objets se rebellent contre le clown conférencier, pris entre la pesanteur et la grâce, et dépassé par le démiurge dont il fait l’éloge. A la prouesse du geste, s’ajoute un texte d’une impayable drôlerie. Arletti lit les premiers mots de la Genèse avec candeur et espièglerie et s’empêtre dans le récit originel : parviendra-t-elle jusqu’au sixième jour, étape glorieuse de la création et date de naissance de l’humanité ?
