Les trois pièces présentées ici prennent bien le soin de balayer un répertoire très large de pièces contemporaines, des années 80 à nos jours. Forsythe, Armitage et Hervé Robbe se passent le relais dans des ambiances à chaque fois réinventées, voire complètement opposées… Les danseurs du Ballet de Lorraine reprennent ici une pièce que Karole Armitage a créée à Nancy même, dans un déluge de couleurs, de bonne humeur, de délire. Rave est un rêve éveillé, une fête délurée qu’embrassent pleinement les vingt-six danseurs. Un projet qui contraste pour le moins avec la création d’Hervé Robbe, beaucoup plus sombre et intérieure. Les Ombres d’une guerre sans nom s’inspire de la dimension poétique et tragique du poème Le Combat de Tancrède et Clorinde, un amour à jamais perdu dans les douleurs de la guerre, du poète Le Tasse. Forsythe dans Septext met en scène avec sa remarquable précision toujours fluide et claire quatre interprètes qui ici déconstruisent le mouvement .
