Au sein d’un décor minimaliste, Julien Cigana et Nicolas Devort passent d’un personnage à l’autre. Ils incarnent ainsi les sept membres de la famille Lachassette, femmes et hommes de la classe moyenne au centre de la pièce écrite à quatre mains par les deux comédiens. Parmi eux, il y a Mireille, qui souhaite, avant de mourir, réunir son mari et ses deux fils afin de les réconcilier… Quel est le poids de la filiation dans notre construction personnelle ? Pouvons-nous réellement nous détacher de ce que nous ont transmis nos parents ? Le fait d’avoir des enfants aide-t-il à couper le cordon… ? Tragi-comédie naviguant entre sensible, drôlerie et férocité, Le Bois dont je suis fait creuse la question ambivalente des héritages qui, quoi qu’on puisse faire ou dire, orientent le cours de nos existences. Une pièce émouvante et sensible où tout fonctionne à la perfection.
