Philippe Delaigue s’associe une seconde fois avec le Quatuor Debussy pour créer un spectacle musical, cette fois sur le thème du travail. Les textes du Bonheur des uns sont issus du livre du journaliste américain Studs Terkel, Working – Histoires orales du travail aux Etats-Unis (1966), série de témoignages d’hommes et de femmes à propos de leur métier. Sur un fond de musiques nord-américaines contemporaines (John Cage, Philip Glass…), cinq comédiens font vivre ces portraits d’individus issus de tous les horizons socioprofessionnels (publiciste comme maçon, institutrice comme prostituée, chef d’entreprise comme fossoyeur). Le bonheur des uns donne un aperçu assez noir des conditions de travail et invite à la réflexion sur cette activité qui occupe une très large part de notre temps. Le titre du spectacle apporte cependant une petite touche positive à l’ensemble, et laisse au spectateur le soin de réfléchir à sa possible suite…
