REPRISE / BOUFFES DU NORD
Avec Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme, Lully et Molière ont réalisé ce que Wagner nommera deux siècles plus tard Gesamtkunstwerk (une œuvre d’art total). Cette symbiose entre théâtre, danse et musique est mise en scène par Denis Podalydès, avec l’excellent Pascal Rénéric en Monsieur Jourdain et une solide équipe de chanteurs et musiciens sous la direction de Christophe Coin. « Le paradoxe magnifique du Bourgeois gentilhomme tient à ce qu’on y réunit et célèbre les Arts au profit d’un homme qui écoute, voit et pratique les plus belles choses, sans jamais y rien entendre. Non pas par bêtise. Il est comme forcé à l’ignorance, car il ne peut être celui qu’il voudrait devenir, le propre d’un homme de qualité étant de l’être par nature et non de l’apprendre par science ou maîtrise » explique Denis Podalydès.
