Cirque/Festival Villeneuve en Scène / écriture et mise-en-scène Julien Candy
Un petit chapiteau, des tables et des chaises, des verres, des plateformes et des agrès suspendus… La forme du cabaret est très clairement le point de départ voulu par Julien Candy, dans un désir fort de retrouver un lien avec le public, une intimité, une rencontre. Le Cabaret Renversé est sa réponse au contexte actuel, à sa recherche de cohérence dans sa vision du cirque. De là découle également le choix du duo, qu’il prend à bras-le-corps aussi bien pour parler du lien homme-femme – de l’amour ! – que pour déconstruire les attendus de cette relation que véhicule le cirque. Avec Juliette Christmann, Julien Candy utilise les ressorts de sa discipline (jonglage, lancer de couteaux, acrobaties aériennes, dressage…) pour mieux les renverser… et nous avec.
