Théâtre Jean Vilar de Suresnes / de Christine Montalbetti d’après Robert-Louis Stevenson / mes Denis Podalydès
Docteur Jekyll et son double monstrueux Mister Hyde ne font plus mystère pour le sociétaire de la Comédie-Française, Denis Podalydès, qui créait en 2010 Le Cas Jekyll. L’acteur revient à la célèbre nouvelle de Robert-Louis Stevenson, revue par Christine Montalbetti, en élaborant une seconde version du premier spectacle, version qui repose sur deux interprètes. Pour cette recréation, Denis Podalydès est accompagné sur le plateau de la danseuse et chorégraphe Kaori Ito. L’acteur a entendu la réflexion de Jorge Luis Borges qui déplorait que les rôles de Jekyll et de Hyde fussent interprétés par le même acteur : le comédien talentueux signe un face-à-face théâtral au sein duquel il forme, avec l’artiste japonaise, « une dualité en mouvement », une « métamorphose parlée et dansée ». Un joli duo pour transcender la monstruosité.
