Les grandes familles de cirque se nomment Zavatta, Fratellini… Dans la famille Thierrée, on s’arrache désormais le fils (James), la fille (Aurélia), et bien sûr le père Jean-Baptiste, et la mère Victoria (Chaplin, « fille de » elle aussi). Fondateur dans les années 70 du Cirque Bonjour, Jean-Baptiste Thierrée a posé les bases du cirque moderne. Le duo qu’il forme avec Victoria dans Le Cirque Invisible brouille les repères : clowns et comédiens, mais surtout poètes de l’invisible, les deux artistes endossent les costumes d’un musée imaginaire qui rivalise de trouvailles. Le principe du spectacle est de faire se télescoper des images créées par ces deux personnages baroques. Animaux, pantins, tableaux vivants, tout participe d’un univers enchanteur qui puise sa force dans l’incongru, voire l’absurdité. Au final, c’est l’impossible qui triomphe, avec la force du rire, toujours présent.
