« Le klezmer s’est toujours nourri des apports alentour, de l’autre. Le principe de la rencontre est le fondement même de cette musique. » Ce que nous disait Yom voici cinq ans dans ces mêmes colonnes, le clarinettiste ne cesse de l’appliquer. Du Chinois Wang Li au percussionniste Bijan Chemirani, le virtuose n’a de cesse de multiplier les pistes, sans jamais tout à fait oublier ses fondamentaux. C’est pourquoi on ne sera guère surpris de le voir revenir à une formule trio jazz, pas forcément des plus classiques, avec Fréderic Deville au violoncelle et Giani Caserotto à la guitare. Si en pareil contexte, l’acoustique sera la clef d’écoute, il devrait néanmoins résonner l’écho des fusions, même électriques, qui l’ont précédé, puisque Yom mêlera pièces de son vaste répertoire et originaux taillés pour ce nouveau projet.
