Théâtre du Centre / de Michel Onfray / mes et interprétation Bernard Saint Omer
Il est ici question d’un père. Du père de Michel Onfray, un « ouvrier agricole taciturne et courageux ». Il est question « de l’amour infini, bien que rarement exprimé », qui liait Gaston Onfray et l’enfant qu’a été le créateur de l’Université populaire de Caen. Extrait du Désir d’être un volcan, premier tome du Journal hédoniste paru en 1996, Le Corps de mon père est un texte autobiographique au sein duquel l’écrivain et philosophe « évoque avec pudeur et lyrisme son enfance ». Seul sur le plateau du Théâtre du Centre, le comédien et metteur en scène Bernard Saint Omer cherche à restituer cette parole sans « tomber dans le piège du pathos », en faisant entendre « l’économie de la parole du père, le bruit de son silence ». Pour cela, il stimule notre odorat, notre ouïe, notre vision, notre rapport au concret, en faisant cuire du pain et en fabriquant un socle de sculpture sur scène. Une façon de créer une « alchimie du sensible, de la perception », de « [prendre] les mots à bras le corps ».
