« Il est furieux d’être là, sur la terre, furieux de ne pas y être pour toujours, furieux de vivre autant que furieux de mourir. ». Il… c’est-à-dire le corps, c’est-à-dire l’être. Matière de la vie, inéluctablement périssable, fragile et inouï, le corps sans cesse inquiète et ravit l’âme, tourmente et comble le désir, et sans cesse se voit refoulé, policé, contraint, alors qu’il engendre tous les questionnements existentiels. Jean-Michel Rabeux, qui mène depuis plus de vingt ans une œuvre en lutte, explore les représentations du corps, souffrant, jouissant, dans leurs résonances politiques, sociétales, et métaphysiques. « Rappeler notre lamentable faiblesse devant la mort en montrant des corps vulnérables, brisés, merveilleux de jeunesse, merveilleux d’usure du temps, ridicules, crâneurs, inadmissibles, inévitables, voilà le projet secret. » dit-il. Sur un plateau semé d’objets, symboles brisés de la société de consommation, il crée une partition avec huit « personnes », acteurs, acrobate, équilibriste, rockeuse, danseurs ou accordéoniste. SDF égarés sur la scène du quotidien, ils disent l’inextricable alliance de la chair et de l’esprit, la splendeur et la misère de l’humain.
