C’est l’un des plus beaux duos de l’histoire de l’opéra qui conclut Le Couronnement de Poppée de Monteverdi. Rien que pour entendre ce « Pur ti miro » il faut impérativement se rendre à la Cité de la musique. D’autant que l’ensemble de musique ancienne La Venexiana est rompu à ce répertoire, à cheval entre la Renaissance et le Baroque. Les chanteurs, parmi lesquels se distinguent Emanuela Galli et Roberta Mameli, évoluent dans une mise en espace de Paola Reggiani. Espérons que cette réalisation scénique saura retrouver la beauté intemporelle des versions mises en scène par Klaus Michael Grüber (Festival d’Aix-en-provence) et Robert Carsen (Festival de Glyndebourne).
