Deux danseuses dans la pénombre. Une gémellité troublante que l’on retrouve également dans la danse : les mouvements se font à l’unisson, fendant l’espace et le temps d’un accord commun. Tout commence par un simple balancement : les pieds, ancrés dans le sol, sont le support solide d’un geste qui lentement s’étend des épaules au bassin, traverse les bras jusqu’à développer une ondulation qui se déploie en lignes sinueuses. Ce seul motif gestuel est la base du Cri, et se répète tout au long du spectacle, installant une pesanteur et une gravité sans faille. Aux abords austères, cette pièce est pourtant une véritable lueur : elle montre la puissance d’une écriture abstraite et minimale irradiant deux corps au diapason.
L’expérience d’une danse tout en tension
D’un doux crescendo qui pourrait être sensuel, Nacera Belaza a fait un leitmotiv entêtant, un rituel strict mais envoûtant, en refus total de la facilité, de la séduction ou de l’emphase. Soutenus par une bande-son mixant d’abord la voix du chanteur Larbi Bestam, puis celles d’Amy Winehouse et de Maria Callas, les deux corps presque informes dans leurs habits bien larges sont d’abord comme bercés, puis entraînés vers la lumière. Au paroxysme de la répétition, la vidéo prend un relais surprenant, répétant à l’envi les présences en les démultipliant. Un spectacle sous haute tension, entre transe et jouissance, entre sacré et profane.
