« Le Petit Poucet n’est pas l’histoire de sept enfants perdus dans la forêt parce qu’ils n’étaient pas assez aimés par leurs parents. C’est celle de sept petites filles égorgées par leur père qui les aimait plus que tout. » Revisitant l’histoire du méchant cannibale avide de chair fraîche, Marien Tillet interprète le « puissant témoignage musico-slamé d’un père confronté au destin en marche d’une histoire trop racontée », qui dit comment l’horreur est entrée dans sa maison. Rompant avec la lecture moraliste des contes qui considère qu’ils sont faits pour édifier les enfants, Marien Tillet entend interroger la monstruosité à partir du monstre, pose la question de sa définition « par le prisme de notre alimentation » et explore la manière dont la transmission fait parfois mal en croyant bien faire…
