VERSAILLES / OPÉRA EN CONCERT
Créée à l’orée du XVIIIe siècle, cette partition considérée comme perdue depuis plus de 300 ans met en scène Saturne qui entend arbitrer entre Mars et la Paix pour l’avenir du nouveau siècle. Vulcain, la Gloire, le Génie de la Terre ou encore Pallas, déesse de la Sagesse interviennent pour entraîner derrière eux le peuple. Le siècle sera finalement partagé entre guerre et paix. C’est l’occasion pour Campra, compositeur d’église alors tout juste venu à l’opéra avec L’Europe galante, de proposer airs, chœurs et musiques de danses. Patrick Bismuth, qui a accompagné la résurrection de l’ouvrage avec le chœur et l’orchestre La Tempesta, a réuni une distribution parfaite (Marc Mauillon, Mathias Vidal, Florie Valiquette, Claire Lefilliâtre, Thomas Van Essen) pour un enregistrement (label Chateau de Versailles Spectacles) et ce concert donné dans la Salle des Croisades.
