Christophe Fiat, ami écrivain du Festival, comprend les mots « acteur » et « choral » dans actOral. C’est que l’acteur est interprète, et aussi en situation d’exposer son travail sur une scène. Et le public est à la fois spectateur de la représentation et partenaire de la population théâtrale, prêt à alimenter des débats avec les artistes. De plus, Hubert Colas, la figure tutélaire du Festival, auteur et metteur en scène, instille à la manifestation la fièvre véritable – une ambiance « rock » – pour que les visiteurs amoureux du théâtre non seulement découvrent la création contemporaine mais se divertissent également, à travers une vaste programmation et l’invention constante de nouvelles formes. Montevideo est un repère plus qu’un théâtre, un laboratoire, un espace de diffusion ancré dans le présent.
Les aventures poétiques et les formes inédites se multiplient
Le public est attentif à la variété inouïe des écritures proposées : one-man-show, installations, performances. Les acteurs sont libres de toute entrave, faisant d’actOral une zone de résistance. Un livre, comme dans le roman Farenheit 451 de Ray Bradbury, est aussi une arme, dit Christophe Fiat, « une arme dont le corps de l’acteur serait l’ultime théâtre des opérations, et les spectateurs les porte-parole en chœur. » Spectacles, mises en lecture, mises en espace, écrits de la danse, impromptus, objets des mots, une heure avec…, les aventures poétiques et les formes inédites se multiplient entre Julien Blaine, Eve Doumbia, Eduard Escoffet, Matthieu Mével, Geoffrey Coppini, Spiro Scimone… à Montevideo, à la Friche Belle de mai, aux Bernardines, au Gymnase, à la Criée. ActOral, un festival à la pointe des tensions artistiques contemporaines. Un temps fort bouillonnant et foisonnant de la saison culturelle.
