Fontainebleau / Jazz manouche et stars
Le festival se déroule sur quatre jours, au début de l’été, sur les pelouses du château de Fontainebleau. Un traitement royal pour une musique longtemps associée aux discriminés de la société, qui célèbre notamment, sous la figure tutélaire de Django Reinhardt, le jazz manouche et les musiques gitanes, du flamenco au swing. Cette réaffirmation de l’ADN du festival passe par l’ouverture, cette année, d’un espace dédié, la « scène des luthiers », où est attendu le meilleur des héritiers de Django, dont certains issus de la communauté tsigane, comme Noé Reinhardt ou Wawau Adler. Sur la grande scène alternent stars du jazz grand public (Melody Gardot, Robin McKelle, Jamie Cullum…) et quelques-uns de ceux qui font la fierté du jazz manouche par-delà les frontières : le fulgurant Stochelo Rosenberg ; l’attachant Tchavolo Schmitt ou encore Jimmy Rosenberg, qui effectue son come-back après plusieurs années loin du circuit.
