Avant de se plonger dans un projet plus intimiste avec la finlandaise Sanja Kosonen, Antoine Rigot continue la lancée phénoménale du Fil sous la neige, pièce créée en 2006, entièrement dédiée à l’art du funambule. Spectacle rédempteur, chargé d’histoires, qui reprend à son compte les péripéties d’une compagnie traversée par les succès comme par les drames. Car le fil, qui traverse la piste de part en part, et trace sur le cercle une toile délicate, symbolise la vie fragile d’artistes suspendus dans les airs sur quelques centimètres de câble.
Une trouée dans le réel sublimée par la danse aérienne
Bien que le parcours personnel d’Antoine Rigot, arrêté brutalement dans son art par un terrible accident, soit le point de départ du spectacle, Le Fil sous la neige n’est pas le récit d’une mésaventure ou d’une résilience. Les sept funambules, accompagnés par les musiciens de Wildmini Antigroove Syndicate, prennent le parti de la hauteur – bien qu’à quelques petits mètres du sol – pour mieux dépasser le réel et commenter l’histoire par le poétique. La danse des corps transcende le tragique et laisse apparaître le doux déséquilibre de la vie, sa fragilité. La prise de risque et la virtuosité sont balayés par la force de l’émotion, et la figure du metteur en scène s’efface peu à peu derrière les personnalités qui doucement vont briser la glace et faire fondre la neige.
