Peut-on rire de la mort ? Avec le Cheptel Aleïkoum, pas de problème. Eux qui flirtent sans cesse avec elle, que ce soit au vélo acrobatique ou au mât chinois, sont les plus mal placés pour en faire un tabou. Mais elle est ici le point de départ d’un immense pastiche, qui se glisse dans les habits d’un gala de bienfaisance au profit de la recherche scientifique pour mieux en détourner les usages. Bienvenue donc dans cette émission au profit de la lutte contre la mort, qui, avec tout l’art de ce joyeux collectif de cirque, tourne en foutraque délire avec en filigrane l’ultime interrogation : mourir ou ne pas mourir ? En frontal, avec l’utilisation du vélo, des portés et du mât, le spectacle se construit également sur l’image vidéo, sans oublier la musique. Au final, le burlesque pilonne les codes propres aux événements de charité médiatisés, pour nous emmener, plus en profondeur, vers une réflexion sur notre propre humanité.
