Théâtre de l’Aktéon / de Harold Pinter / mes Anne Voutey
C’est la pièce grâce à laquelle Harold Pinter connut, en 1960, un succès international. Huis clos au sein duquel trois hommes – deux frères et un vieillard SDF – tissent les fils de relations ambigües et contradictoires, Le Gardien (The Caretaker) est l’un des textes emblématiques de ce que l’on appelle le « théâtre de la menace ». « Il s’agit de faire exister le mystère, confie Anne Voutey à propos de ce texte. De rendre tangible une atmosphère de violence et de suspense, où trois personnages – trois solitudes – s’affrontent dans des jeux de pouvoir cruels à alliance variable, occupant tour à tour le rôle d’exclu et de voyeur, dans un espace clos et incertain. » Sur le plateau de l’Aktéon, ce sont Patrick Alaguerateguy, Jean-Philippe Marie et Jacques Roussy qui tentent de faire surgir ce « climat insécurisant ». Un climat entre comédie en angoisse, à travers lequel la metteure en scène souhaite bien sûr nourrir la dimension théâtrale de la pièce, mais aussi sa dimension politique.
